An ambitious serial entrepreneur and innovative thinker, Gunther Schmidt creates value in every industry he touches, from Internet Advertising and Feedback Management to Real Estate Technology (Proptech) and Co-Living.

In summer 2008, Schmidt co-founded eKomi — to innovate the Reputation Management industry. Augmenting text analytics capabilities with human moderation, eKomi authenticates transaction-based ratings and reviews while protecting clients from liabilities and mitigating regulation compliance risks.

Backed by Goldman Sachs and officially partnered with Google, eKomi has over 200 employees headquartered in Berlin, Germany, with offices globally.

In 2012, Schmidt launched QUARTERS Co-Living to fulfill his vision for a tech-enabled global neighborhood.

Combining Internet of Things (IoT) technology and urban rental housing, QUARTERS Co-Living offers a tech-enabled, on-demand residential experience that creates value for landlords and tenants in a brand new industry – Co-Living.

Quarters quickly became the market leader in the rapidly developing new asset class co-living and established itself in 16 cities in the U.S. and Europe. In January 2020 he left Quarters.

In December 2020 he founded his new venture Stride Co-Living. Combining Internet of Things (IoT) technology and urban rental housing, Stride is a Co-Living operator of the second generation. It offers a community-focused, fully tech-enabled, on-demand residential experience that creates value for landlords and tenants. Currently, Stride Co-Living is in an expansion phase and actively looking for signing new lease contracts as well as acquiring properties.
